The peony is not a flat printed motif. Clay is applied by hand and shaped layer by layer, giving the petals visible height, irregularity, and depth. Rather than relying on a master’s signature, its character comes from the time and care ceramic artisans invest in shaping every petal. Hand-painted gradient pinks, soft greens, and fine raised lines bring the flower gently into focus against the dark body.

The teapot uses a matte black finish as its base, quieting the overall palette and allowing the gradient pink peony to stand out without looking overly ornate. Small gold-toned accents and the red lid knob add warmth while keeping the composition calm and balanced.

At 12 cm long and 6 cm high, the 120 ml teapot is compact and easy to handle for short, personal tea sessions. A built-in multi-hole ceramic filter helps hold back larger tea leaves while pouring. Choose the teapot alone or add the 100 ml flower-rim cup, measuring 9 cm at its widest point and 4 cm high.

The ceramic is completed in a single high-temperature firing, creating a hard, dense body that is less prone to cracking in normal use. The pigments are fired into the glaze, making the surface resistant to wear, acids, and alkalis; the colors do not fade with normal long-term use. The matte black surface is less likely than pure white porcelain to show minor water marks, and a gentle wipe after use helps keep it clean and tidy.
