The pink color gradually softens from the lower part of the gaiwan toward the top. Its frosted surface and irregular raised texture soften the direct transparency of the liuli glass, creating a quiet, mist-like glow.
Once tea is poured in, amber and golden tones show through the translucent body and blend naturally with the original pink. Different teas and changing light give the gaiwan subtly different layers of color.
The raised rounded lid knob makes the lid easier to control and adjust, while the gently flared rim creates a natural place for the fingers to rest. The lid, bowl, and saucer form a traditional three-piece gaiwan, with an approximately 120 ml capacity suited to personal tea sessions or several infusions shared between two people.
