Hand-Painted Raised Peony Ceramic Teapot

The peony on the lid is not a flat printed motif. Clay is applied and shaped layer by layer, then finished with gradient pinks, green leaves and fine painted accents, giving the petals visible height and depth. The matte black body keeps the overall palette quiet and lets the raised peony become the visual focus.
